One thing I learned about living in London is that if you want to stay warm? Keep your head covered! Since I’ve always had a soft spot for hats and all forms of “head toppers”, I’m taking advantage of that fact. I’ve been stocking up on floppy hats, fedoras, wide brim hats, beanies and turbans!

Wearing F21 skirt, Zara sweater, McQ trench, H&M sweater, Primark turban, ARANAZ bag, shoe from Portobello Market

Look who came over to visit me??? My sister, Amina! I find it a bit funny that barely 2 months in London and I’ve already had two visitors! Hahaha!

Selfridges (4)

We loved the Christmas store displays over at Selfridges!!!

PS. How fasyon are their poses?!? I love it. Hahahaha!

A fun (kinda shameful) fact from my past — when I was a lot younger (say hello to my 14 year old self!), I adored Abercrombie & Fitch. Trips to the States would have me stalk out the nearest store and hunt for a pair of Boyfriend Fit jeans! I stocked up on denim miniskirts, ribbed tanks, floral sundresses and collared shirts. Well obviously, I outgrew that phase. Then I came across CC-OO in SM Megamall. The store itself, reminded me a lot of my A&F/Hollister days. It was a mix of preppy + California Girl + sporty chic.

I love the bleached wood details!

A mix of florals, denims, plaid and cotton!

Trunk Show of sandals, shoes, and slippers!

They have an easy selection of clothing for guys too! So bring your boyfriend while you shop!

The half-naked boy photo definitely made it feel like A&F! hahaha!

In the dressing room trying on a top — Surprise! I cut my hair!

I had plans of buying ‘winter’ clothes in Greenbelt 5 but i found myself doing a little shoegazing (not of the music variety of course!) instead. I must be a sales assistant’s worst nightmare…I love visit shoe stores and trying on every pair even if I have no intentions of buying them. Hahaha!

LYN  I remember coming across Lyn during a trip to Bangkok a few years ago. I visited a branch in Siam Center, if I remembeer correctly. Until recently, I had no idea they had a branch over at Greenbelt 5!

Can you guess which pair I brought home with me???

SoFA Retail Lab (1)

A lot of people ask me, what exactly do you do? Among a lot of other things (whatever floats my boat!), I have a little hole (haha!) in the mall  — the SoFA Retail Lab. It’s a multi-brand store that houses different SoFA brands :) So do me a favor and hop on over to the SoFA Retail Labat 2/F Archeology Section Power Plant Mall and do a little shopping :)

Here are some of my picks:

SoFA Retail Lab (2)

Adorable camera pouches from Fab Manila

Another blog post!

Believe me, Im just as surprised as you are.

Thing is, for the longest time I couldn’t be arsed lugging around a huge ass camera  so I was perfectly content just observing and not recording life as it happened. That all changed when mama got me an iPhone. From then on I was unstoppable at capturing the things that fascinate me on a daily basis.

Today was flea market day! The heat was insupportable but I was readily armed with my umbrella, abanico and diet snapple (inside bag). Thanks to the three, im still alive and kickin’.

Didn’t really end up buy anything even if I spent a good 3 hours in the market.

I’m perfectly content just having a visual feast and running my fingers on things that have been around longer than me.

What I did end up buying was back home in Manhattan. First, let me tell you a story about a charming man I met while walking! This is James and he’s lovely. I knew this for a fact after 5 minutes of meeting him because I’ve got a gift for sussing out people.

Apart from being awesome,  he also handmakes bags using scrap leather.

My first ‘James’ original: a giraffe wine bottle drawstring bag. Nothing is cut straight, there are still ball pen marks on the inside (in blue so it screams at you when you open the bag), the eyelets are not in line with each other, the strap is uneven, and the string’s width range from anorexic thin to obese fat.

It’s perfectly imperfect and I love it.xxxxx

For my trip this weekend I’ve been on the lookout for a button down sweater. Not just any boring basic grey cardigan but a boring basic grey cardigan with little oomph. My first stop? Kashieca! My sister and I are a fan of little detail so we often visit Kaschieca for their cute cardigans and shirts that are usually adorned with simple frills and embellishments. Plus, their Randy Ortiz collaboration is a favorite of my mom!

KASHIECA
Rockwell, Greenbelt 5, Galleria, Trinoma, ATC, Ayala Cebu, Festival Mall, Eastwood, Gateway and SM malls

One of my picks — cotton top with ruffled collar!

They have adorable yet affordable accessories as well.

Did I find THE grey cardigan? Yes I did! Be on the lookout for it in posts from my upcoming trip!

Danika Navarro fringe crop top, ARANAZ skirt, Possibility platforms, H&M bag, H&M sunglasses

For a day spent taking my balikbayan relatives to the tiangge, I knew I had to dress for the weather. So I decided to beat the heat by wearing this knotted crop top I bought from my friend (and SoFA fashion design student) Danika. Paired with a tribal print skirt from last year’s ARANAZ summer collection, I barely noticed the humidity.

When we got home, look what I found delivered to my door — Homage by Randy Ortiz for Kashieca! Thank you for this! I love receiving little packages :)

I’m a bit picky when it comes to fragances, but I was pleasantly surprised by this eu de toilette that’s seems to be a mix of musky citrus-y scents. Loved the cute packaging too!

The limited edition designs by SO!FAB’s brand ambassadors — Boop & Kimi Yap, Dominique Tiu, Kryz Uy and me!

You can see me wearing mine during my first day at Philippine Fashion Week

Available only at the following branches: Shangrila, Glorietta 5 and SM Sanlazaro

I love shopping online but I’m an even bigger fan on online window shopping — filling my cart with everything I want without checking out! I’ve come across a bunch of stores which actually ship to the Philippines. Here are some of my favorites:

1) La Garconne
They have every cult label you can think of from Acne to Rag&Bone. With designer labels like Preen and Proenza in stock, it’s time to save up!

My pick: Rodarte for Opening Ceremony dress

2) ASOS.COM
Uk-based multi-brand retailer that has every on-trend item you can think of! The best part? They ship for FREE!

My latest purchase: ASOS Modern Armor Cuff

3) Solestruck
Thanks to my friend, Dani (who is a lot more obsessed with shoes than  I am!), I discovered Solestruck. A site that sells only shoes, shoes, and even more shoes! How can a girl resist??? A perk? They ship internationally for FREE if it’s over $199!

My pick: See By Chloe slide

4) Nastygal.com
For unique vintage pieces that I would love to fill my closet with. I’m a big fan of their lookbooks too!

My future purchase: Loren Shades

5) Free People
I love their bohemian inspired collections

My recent purchase: Jeffrey Campbell Joni X Platform

But beware of Philippine Custom Duties and Taxes. How we’re taxed (unfairly I’d think so…) is beyond me! For lower-priced items, I usually give it a shot and hope for the best. For items which are more expensive, it might be easier to go through Johnny Air — which makes this post on shipping to the Philippines a bit irrelevant, hahaha!

Zara shirt, H&M shorts, H&M bag, Forever21 sunglasses, thrifted leopard scarf, Gold Dot wedges

I’ve been obsessed with Zara‘s latest collection and I was thrilled when my mom bought a bunch of their striped colored shirts. So yesterday, I stole borrowed a few from her closet. The perks of having a mom who loves clothes as much as I do!
